Farmers’ market a hit at Newtongrange

Pupils and teachers at Newtongrange Primary School recently brought the countryside into the classroom.

A queue of around 50 shoppers was waiting at the door for the second community Farmers’ Market.

The event was even more successful than the first, held in June, which raised £300 to buy gardening equipment.

Pupils Rhiannon (P4), Katie (P5), Lochlann (P4/5) and Lewis (P4) all rolled up their sleeves and helped out on the day.
