The world famous Rosslyn Chapel will be the focus of festive activities this weekend.

There will be an opportunity to make handmade Christmas cards at a craft workshop tomorrow (Friday, December 13) from 1-4pm.

On Saturday, the chapel will be filled with the sound of the community choir, Schola Cantorum of St Patrick, Edinburgh, from 1-1.45pm. Both events free for chapel visitors and passholders.

Join in singing your favourite Christmas carols, with readings, at Christmas by Candelight in the chapel on Sunday at 5pm. Readers include Midlothian North MSP Colin Beattie and Patrick Prenter, former Lord Lieutenant of Midlothian. Music accompanied by the MacTaggart Scott (Loanhead) Band and John Cranston, organist. There will be no charge but donations will be taken for the Rock Trust.

Ian Gardner, Director of Rosslyn Chapel Trust, said: “We are looking forward to capturing the spirit of Christmas in the very special atmosphere of Rosslyn Chapel this year, with a range of events for the whole community to join in.”
