Building and Civil Engineers McLaughlin & Harvey have donated five computers to local community centre, the Pavilion, as a way of engaging with the neighbours on their Roslin Primary School site.

McLaughlin & Harvey are currently on site working at Roslin Primary School. This is the second school project the company has delivered to Midlothian Council this year, after recently handing over the new Bilston Primary School just a short distance from the current site.

When handing over the computers to the Pavilion, project manager John Campbell said: “We are delighted to be donating these computers to the Pavilion. They had become surplus to our requirements and we are glad we have found a new home for them. The Pavilion are over the moon with the donation, so it’s great to see they are being given a new lease of life!

“It’s always important to engage with neighbours when we are working on site, and as the Pavilion is next to the site and acts as a central hub within this community, it has been great to be able to do this. The hall is used for after school clubs so hopefully some of the local pupils will make good use of them!”

The project is due to be completed in spring 2017.
