CALLING all over-50s - put a spring in your step this autumn.
New exercise classes for the over-50s have started to help more people get fit and healthy.
Now, Ageing Well Midlothian is appealing to people to get their trainers on and get fit by trying the new Tai Chi class at King’s Park Pavilion, Dalkeith, on a Wednesday evening at 6pm.
Organisers claim that research shows regular practice of Chinese mind and body exercise helps improve blood pressure, strengthens knee muscles and improves mental concentration.
There is also a range of other classes to try, including aquafit, dance, singing, keep fit, pilates and yoga. The group also runs free weekly walks led by qualified leaders.
