LIFE at a Midlothian club is returning to normal after an emergency refurbishment.
Shottstown Miners Welfare Club in Penicuik was hit by a major flood at the end of July following a morning of torrential rain.
Damage to the building fabric was so bad, locals feared that the club would have to shut its doors forever.
But members of the popular venue, known locally as Penicuik Miners, rolled up their sleeves, mopped up the mess and prepared for a £300,000 facelift.
