Former nursery hand out

Former Woodburn Community Nursery committee members Cathy Ewing and Janie May are pictured presenting a cheque for �3,750 to St David's Primary headteacher Tony Currie and pupils. Last year the nursery wound up after 35 years successful years when Dalkeith Community Centre was shut down by the council. The committee, parents and staff voted that all monies and assets should be distributed amongst charities, schools and nurseries within the Dalkeith area. Former secretary Ann Phillip said: 'I would like to thank the Advertiser for the support you gave us throughout our battle to save our community nursery. We hope many children will benefit from the donations the community nursery has made for many years to come.'
