Gorebridge Community Development Trust is having a sponsored walk on Saturday 22nd November to raise money for the under construction community hub and to raise awareness of the walking routes in Gorebridge.

A coffee morning and sponsored walk is to be held in Gorebridge this weekend to raise awareness of the under construction community hub.

Gorebridge Community Development Trust (GCDT) is inviting locals to attend the coffee morning in Gorebridge Church Hall on Saturday, followed by a sponsored walk, to find out about the new community building due to open in August 2015.

As well as providing answers they will be asking what people want to see inside the new £2 million building.

GCDT’s Paul Renwick explained: “Local walk leaders have planned three walks to cater for all abilities, from experienced walkers to tots in buggies.

“The 7.5 mile circular walk, leaving at 10am, will take in the wonderful countryside including the Camp and Gore Glen. The three mile walk, leaving at 10.30, is suitable for the less experienced and younger walkers, and the Buggy Walk, leaving at 11, is a short walk of just over a mile down to the playpark and back.”

You can pick up a sponsorship form from the library, leisure centre or 58 Main Street. Or you can just turn up early with a £5 registration fee – doors open at 9.45am.
