Gorebridge man charged following death of Dalkeith cabbie

A 22-year-old man from Gorebridge has appeared in court in connection with the death of a Dalkeith taxi driver.

Thomas Milligan was pronounced dead at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary last Sunday (December 7) after being taken there by ambulance following an alleged altercation within his taxi on Dalkeith’s Lauder Road at around 1.20am.

Ewan Wilson (22) made no plea or declaration when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court charged with assault the following day.

He was granted bail and the case was committed for further examination.
