Seven-year-old Yasmin Webb has been named Scotland’s top young first aider.
The Gorebridge youngster, who has given medical help to two of her family members won the Young First Aid Volunteer award at the Scottish First Aid Awards in Glasgow City Chambers recently.
Yasmin helps to demonstrate first aid to local elderly people. She also performed first aid on her auntie, who suffers from MS and she helps her family manage her grandmother’s diabetes.
Her mum Fiona said: “It’s hard to describe how I feel. I was a bit shocked.
“I was just really proud of her and proud of the fact that she is helping people.”
