Midlothian Council says its gritters will be out all day today.
Between one and four centimetres of snow fell overnight in parts of Midlothian, generally on higher routes.
A council spokesman said: “All priority routes are clear, although there are some slushy areas and some minor drifts in exposed areas.
“There will be difficult driving conditions within some residential streets until we get in to treat these areas.
“Gritters will remain out all day, along with footway snow clearing crews and mini tractors.”
The Met Office’s yellow be aware warning is still in place today. Although there could be more showers nothing of significance is expected.
