COMMUNITY groups can get information on funding at two free events in Midlothian.
A presentation will be given in Gorebridge Leisure Centre on Wednesday, April 27, at 10am, by the Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland, which funds grassroots charities focused on improving the quality of life for people who are disadvantaged or at risk of becoming disadvantaged.
The Voluntary Action Fund, which provides grants of up to £1000 for small groups with an annual income below £25,000 per year, will hold an event at Mayfield and Easthouses Church Hall on Wednesday, May 25, from 7pm.
The Voluntary Action Fund also has grants to help organisations celebrate the European Year of Volunteering. At both events, a Directory of Local Grants will be distributed to give small local charities the necessary know-how and where to apply, how to get better results, and where to get help.
