Businesses and households across the county are to benefit from superfast broadband speeds after BT announced Dalkeith is to be included in a roll-out of improvements.
Dalkeith is one of four locations in Scotland to be included in BT’s plans as part of its commitment to deliver faster broadband speeds to more rural parts of the country.
Businesses and households will be able to access speeds of up to 40Mbs by spring 2012, with some 18,20 homes and business set to benefit from the move.
Lasswade and District Civic Society had claimed extremely slow connection speeds in Bonnyrigg, Lasswade and Polton were stifling small businesses and preventing people working from home, as reported in the Advertiser.
