Penicuik singer-songwriter Siobhan Miller has launched her first solo album, Flight of Time, at a concert in her home town this week.

Siobhan (27) performed at Penicuik High School’s Music Hub on Tuesday, showcasing the ten tracks from the album.

“I wanted to put together an album of my own songs or songs by writers who have inspired me to write,” said Siobhan, who won the 2008 BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award with Orcadian musician Jeana Leslie.

One of the key recordings on the album is Siobhan’s version of Davy Steele’s Long Hellos and Short Goodbyes.

The album is the result of a two-year collaboration with renowned producer and singer-songwriter James Grant of Love and Money fame.
