Insight into plans for 800 new homes on border of East and Midlothian

Around 65 people turned out to learn about proposals to create up to 800 homes on farm sites straddling the East and Midlothian border.

CALA is drawing up plans to develop land currently occupied by Newton Farm and Wellington Farm, a 70 hectare site which lies between Millerhill, Old Craighall and the Edinburgh City Bypass.

Local residents and businesses were given an insight into the proposals at two public exhibitions organised by CALA, one in Danderhall Miners Club and another at The Musselburgh Golf Club in Monktonhall.
