More than £146,600 is being spent improving one of Midlothian’s most historic parks.
Loanhead’s Memorial Park is to have improved landscaping, new paths and an upgraded play area.
Half the cost of the work is being met by Wren, the landfill tax charity. Developer contribution accounts for £21,000 and Midlothian Council is spending £56,000.
The park, on The Loan, was originally laid out as a memorial following the First World War.
