Lothian Buses is to implement a raft of timetable and route changes from the end of March to meet customer demand.
Service 15 will no longer serve Roslin and Auchendinny, offering a quicker and more direct route to Edinburgh from Penicuik.
Service 15A will be withdrawn on a Sunday and there will be no direct link between Penicuik and Morningside.
Service 40’s route will be altered to serve Auchendinny. The route will also be altered in Loanhead with buses reverting to Nivensknowe Road instead of Dryden Terrace and Straiton Road.
Alternate daytime journeys for service 37 will terminate at Easter Bush and not serve Penicuik.
Journeys which continue to Penicuik will serve Roslin, which will also benefit from the introduction of the N37.
At weekends, service 37 will run every 20 minutes with all buses running to Penicuik Deanburn via Roslin. On Sundays, the service will no longer go to Ladywood.
Service 29 will be converted to a double-decker bus. All weekday peak journeys will operate to Gorebridge. Mayfield will no longer be served.
A new morning peak journey for service 47 will travel from Straiton Park and Ride to Fountainbridge then run on to a 34 for Riccarton.
Buses will no longer serve Pentlands Science Park and Easter Bush at peak times.
Due to low passenger demand service 38’s route will be revised to omit Hopefield in Bonnyrigg.
There will be changes to bus times for services in Midlothian.
