You’re never too old to take up running, believes local historian Ken Bogle.
For Ken is pulling on his trainers this Sunday to take part in the Edinburgh Marathon Festival’s half marathon.
This is hot on the heels of taking part in the Great Edinburgh 10 mile Run last month.
Dr Bogle (50), who is the local history officer at Midlothian’s Library headquarters in Loanhead, explained why he entered the 13.2 mile race.
“I’m daft. I wanted to test myself really. I took up running about two years ago, really for health reasons and trying to counter stress. I really enjoy it.
“I wasn’t very good at games at schools but I enjoy running. My long-term aim is to do the London Marathon,” said Ken.
