LOCAL POLITICIANS AND COUNCILLORS JOIN FORCES OVER KIPPIELAW SITE

The local representatives at Westminster and Holyrood have shown their support for a campaign group’s fight to preserve community identity.

The ‘Save Kippielaw’ group is opposed to plans to build homes there, which are going before Midlothian Council as part of the Local Plan.

They believe the development could lead to the merging of Easthouses and Mayfield with Dalkeith, removing the separate characteristics of each community.

Meanwhile, the campaign group has employed Derek Scott Planning Consultants to prepare a detailed Objection Report, which has identified reasons for the site being inappropriate for homes.
