Jonathan Hewat, Director of External Affairs at Loretto praised Kitty and new head boy, Angus Oatts (17) from Oban.

Mr Hewat said: “It is a great privilege for Kitty and Angus – a responsibility they both richly deserve.

“They are both excellent young people and I have no doubt that they will carry out their duties with aplomb.”

Founded in 1827 Loretto has around 630 pupils – boarders and day pupils, aged 3-18.
