Pupils at a Penicuik primary school showcased their skills using technology to support their learning during a visit by the Education Secretary.
Angela Constance MSP used her visit to Mauricewood Primary to call on all Scottish schools to make the most of opportunities offered by digital learning.
Her visit co-incided with National Digital Learning Week.
While at Mauricewood, Ms Constance had an opportunity to see how technology is being used to support creative arts and interdisciplinary learning in the school.
The Education Secretary saw a presentation about ‘The Moscars’, a project where groups of pupils used technology to develop a short film. Held last year, the Moscars encouraged primary pupils across Midlothian to come up with a great idea for a film and then demonstrate their creative talents by writing screenplays, acting, filming, editing and directing.
