Royal visit coverage

A little birdie had told me that Midlothian was being blessed with another Royal visit, and it was with great excitement that I made my way to Rosslyn Chapel to see the Duchess of Rothesay.

It’s a couple of buses each way but when you have a bus pass you don’t have to worry about finding the right change.

Anyway, you can imagine my disappointment when I discovered that she had come a day early and I didn’t see her at all. My niece said I needed more luck and less jam. How I laughed.

So I was delighted to see the coverage of the Royal visit in the Advertiser, and the first class photos you published.

Camilla seems to bloom with age, and she conducts her duties with great dignity and sincerity, and I’m sure she loves coming to Midlothian.

In these gloomy times such visits lift the morale of the nation, and we have to be grateful of our wonderful heritage and traditions.
