Letters to the Editor

Time will tell

I was interested but somehow not too surprised to read your excellent lead article regarding Midlothian Council’s involvement with the Bonnyrigg Rose car park, which turned out to be not fit for purpose (Advertiser, September 20).

Later, on reaching the letters page, I noted one from a Mr Black, stating that people voted for the new administration as they might have some sort of competence that would make them better administrators. He subsequently called for the Green and Independent councillors to step down.

Your paper recently told us that Labour had been in control for 84 years. Let us wait four years and see what other items of mismanagement by the previous administrators you are able to uncover.

Maybe this is why Mr Black is so eager to dissolve the new administration now.
