A PROMINENT Dalkeith landmark is to “go dark” for one hour this month to highlight climate change.
The clock at Midlothian House, the council headquarters in Buccleuch Street, will be switched off for 60 minutes at 8.30pm on Saturday, March 31. This is the council’s contribution to Earth Hour, a World Wide Fund for Nature initiative to raise awareness of climate change.
Last year Scotland became the first country in the world to secure the support of all its cities and local authorities for Earth Hour.
