Nine-year-old schoolgirl Anna MacKenzie had her long hair chopped to raise £2,000 for The Little Princess Trust, a charity which provides wigs for children who have cancer.
The Glencorse Primary School pupil from Milton Bridge exceeded her £350 fundraising target with ease, collecting an incredible £2,000.
Her mum Kirsty MacKenzie (40) said: “I’m very proud of her. She did very well with her sponsorship. She approached her dad and I last September about doing this. She heard about the charity from a friend at school and decided to have her hair cut.”
