The air will be filled with the eclectic sound of music and song when the 15th music festival is held in Loanhead this weekend.
On the bill at the main concert, in the new venue of Loanhead Miners’ Club tomorrow (Friday) at 7.30pm, will be The Goat Roper Rodeo Band from Wales, as well as Dietz and Klein, and Derek Smith’s Main Street Blues Band.
They will be sharing the bill with The Domestics from East Lothian, who recently performed at Prestonpans’ 3 Harbours Arts Festival.
The miners’ club main hall will host an arts and crafts fair on Saturday from 11am to 4pm.
Also during the day, from noon to 5pm, there will be an open stage event for artistes to showcase their talents.
The annual song writing competition, for the Iain McLennan Trophy, will take place from 2pm-4pm.
The popular recycled musical instrument competition will also run from 2pm-4pm.
A series of music workshops will be offered on the Saturday in the miners’ members’ lounge.
Sessions include singing, guitar, mandolin and fiddle. For further information email firstname.lastname@example.org
