Extension to Bonnyrigg school is mooted
CHILDREN in Bonnyrigg could be getting taught in a brand new primary school by Christmas 2011.
Councillors have backed plans for the council to fund an extension at the new primary school to be built by Taylor Wimpey at its Hopefield Farm development.
This would mean that rather than build a second primary school within walking distance of the existing Hopefield Primary School to cater for children from the proposed 1000 new homes, one new school would serve the whole area.
