Film award for Roslin scientist

A MIDLOTHIAN scientist’s film of a growing kidney has won an international award.

Dr Nils Lindström’s time-lapse movie of the organ’s development in an artificial environment scooped third place in the second Nikon Small World in Motion competition.

The development biologist at the Hohenstein laboratory of The Roslin Institute compressed four days into 21 seconds to show how quickly the organ develops.
