Inspiring ideas for new Newbattle High School

THE consultation process for the rebuild of Newbattle High school has now finished with organisers hoping it inspired local people.

Those at the three recent public workshops were shown slides of original and innovative schools all over the world, including ‘The Brain’ (pictured) at Dalry Primary School in Ayrshire.

Councillor Lisa Beattie (SNP), cabinet member for education, was pleased with the consultation process.

She said: “Everyone seems to really have grasped the idea that we want them to aim high and be inspired by innovative education projects and other public buildings across the globe.”
