Lasswade school report goes on air - with help of BBC

HEAR all about it – thanks to pupils from Lasswade High, who joined around 700 schools across the UK in making the news.

The 20 S2 English pupils are taking part in BBC News School Report – a project aimed at engaging 11 to 14-year-olds in current affairs – and over the past few months have been working hard by carrying out interviews and producing reports.

Support

Ex-teacher and BBC News presenter Huw Edwards, who is lending his support to the project, said: "I'm involved because I want to give young people the chance to make the news themselves, and I want to share the principles of good journalism."
