Loanhead crowning will be perfect for Annette

Loanhead’s gala queen will be crowned by Annette Perfect, who served as gala committee secretary for 15 years.
Mrs Perfect (56) said she was “delighted” at the honour – 2012 sees the crowning of the 100th gala queen.
“It was a wee bit of a shock. It came out of the blue. I thought I would be able to resign from the gala committee and fade away into the background,” she said.
Mrs Perfect, who lives in George Drive with her husband Ross, who is chairman of the gala committee and an employee at MacTaggart Scott Limited, will be accompanied on the gala day by her good friend, Margaret Hodge.
