Police are working with British Transport Police to stop possible metal thefts occurring when the Borders Railway line is under construction.

Speaking at last week’s Mayfield Community Council meeting, PC Lindsey Hughson revealed their concerns when discussing the recent theft of copper cabling from Mayfield Industrial Estate.
