A BONNYRIGG man is hoping to improve social conditions in developing countries by starting up a new charity.
Registered in January, The Mondo Loco Foundation was founded by Paul Glyn.
Setting up connections with sports clubs and social groups, Mondo Loco is currently raising funds to carry out sustainable technology projects in parts of Malawi.
Together with a team of volunteers, Paul has been busy developing a permaculture project at Springfield Farm, near Bonnyrigg.
Part-subsidised through the production of mushrooms and organic vegetables, the project will provide a framework that Paul and his team will aim to replicate when they visit Lilongwe, the capital city of Malawi, this summer.
Paul is pictured receiving football strips from his friend and artist Craig Coulthard, and Dalkeith Thistle president Tom Gilhooley. The kit will be used to help the charity forge links with sports clubs in Malawi.
