Mildothian job issue not on the menu?

A LEADING Dalkeith businessman has questioned the local authority’s commitment to tackling youth unemployment.

Restaurateur Matin Khan believes Midlothian Council should have been represented at a recent major summit in Edinburgh.

Business leaders from across Scotland, trade unions and young trainee workers were invited to the ninth National Economic Forum, hosted by the Scottish Government at the Corn Exchange.

They were among 200 representatives, who, along with seven ministers and cabinet secretaries, examined ways of supporting youth employment.
