Opinion mounts on Penicuik wind farm

CONTROVERSIAL plans for a wind farm near Penicuik have attracted more than 600 representations to Midlothian Council.

The high level of interest in Wind Prospect’s proposals to develop a site at Mount Lothian was revealed at last week’s meeting of the council’s planning committee.

Councillors have decided that, due to the scale of the public response, a special ‘pre-determination’ meeting will be held before members make a decision on the planning application.
