Penicuik town hosts annual street fair

Penicuik's community organisations are expected to turn out for the annual street fair.

The town centre extravaganza, organised by Penicuik and District Community Council, will take place on Saturday, August 23, from 10am to 2pm.

There will be live music in the precinct, including a performance from Penicuik Silver Band, and in Penicuik Town Hall with a bandaoke – where anyone can get up to sing their favourite song with a live band.

Also in the town hall there will be a photographic exhibition from the world renowned Penicuik-born photographer Albert Watson. Refreshments, provided by the Penicuik Friends of ChildLine, will also be available.

The pedestrian precinct will be lined with stalls manned by community organisations and groups. Stalls can still be booked by contacting Stuart Ritchie on 07749 706 848.
