PLANNING officials are barking mad over a 12-year delay for a cattery and kennels in Loanhead.

Midlothian Council’s planning committee have sanctioned ‘enforcement action’ against Loanview Holdings’ development at Loanview House because of a failure to meet planning conditions.

The council refused to spell out what type of action could be taken, adding only that it was “considering its position”.

But John and Yvonne McGlynn, who run the kennels, are desperate to establish the business next to their home.
