SNOW flurries are brrrr-illiant news for winter sports fans.

Midlothian Snowsports Centre is gearing up for a busy week, thanks to the recent wintry blast creating perfect skiing conditions.

Councillor Bob Constable, Midlothian Council’s cabinet member for leisure, said: “This is ideal weather to get out and enjoy the benefits of skiing on real snow.

“From snowboarding, tubing and skiing, this may be the last time to grab a piece of the action on real snow before springtime hits.”

Skiing at the Hillend facility is available, under floodlights, until 9pm.
