Symbols of hope for Eskbank woman

AN OLYMPIC challenge is giving hope and bringing cheer to an Eskbank woman.

Diane Cunningham has been chosen to carry the Olympic flame through part of Dalkeith on June 14.

The 59-year-old, who lives in Lasswade Road, was nominated by her daughter, Rhea.

She was inspired by her mother’s determination to overcome serious illness.
