Threat to Penicuik bio-tech jobs

A MIDLOTHIAN bio-tech company has gone into administration, with 20 local jobs under threat.

Angel Biotechnology, based at Pentlands Science Park, near Penicuik, is now being assessed by administrators KPMG LLP with a view to finding a buyer.

The company, which also has facilities in Glasgow and Cramlington, Northumberland, manufactures and supplies clinically-based bio-materials for global biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.
