LAW-BREAKING motorists will be educated about a restricted Midlothian road - before police start issuing fines.

Officers are to make drivers aware of traffic violations in the Dryden Terrace/Pentland Road link in Loanhead.

Police have decided to take a softly, softly approach to enforcing the traffic restriction following months of uncertainty about amended road signs.
