Tribute to Penicuik school’s first dux

A MIDLOTHIAN school is celebrating its 75th anniversary by honouring its first dux pupil.

Penicuik High School will rename its science and technology building as a tribute to Sir James Hamilton, who helped design the delta wing for the famous Concorde aircraft.

The celebrated aeronautical engineer and former permanent secretary at the Department of Education died last year, aged 89.
