Wind farms are ‘a blight’ says author

A LEADING Scottish literary figure is objecting to plans for a Midlothian wind farm.

Novelist Alexander McCall Smith has joined the debate over Wind Prospect Developments’ plan to site nine 45-metre wind turbines at Mount Lothian on the southern outskirts of Penicuik and near Howgate village.

The distinguished writer and law professor was responding to the planning application, lodged recently with Midlothian Council.
