Young Penicuik chefs’ double success

TWO Beeslack Community High School pupils have been praised for their culinary skills.

Lauren McLay (S1) won the East Area round of the Rotary Club Young Chef competition at Preston Lodge High School and Vaila Robertson (S2) was runner-up.

The Midlothian duo beat four competitors from the home school (representing Longniddry and District) and Knox Academy (representing Haddington).
