Flying the flag for Midlothian in a forthcoming glittering awards ceremony is young Dalkeith politician Danielle Rowley.

Danielle, who represents Midlothian at the Scottish Youth Parliament, has been nominated for Best Up and Coming Politician at the Scottish Variety Awards, sponsored by HGL and M&H Logistics.

The winner of the prize will be announced at a glitzy ceremony to be held at Glasgow’s Crowne Plaza in March.

Former Dalkeith High School pupil Danielle (20), also known as Dani, is currently studying a journalism degree at Napier University.
