Arniston Rangers Community Sports Club took delivery of a defibrillator machine on Saturday, in memory of their assistant coach Neil Brownlie who died from a heart attack last month aged 49.

Councillor Catherine Johnstone (SNP) used £1,000 from her environmental and capital funds to pay for the vital piece of equipment.

She said: “Even if someone has a heart attack across the street and the community club is open it can be used by anyone that needs it, so it’s there for the wider community. I’m quite chuffed to be able to help in this way.”
Arniston’s secretary Colin Wilson thanked Councillor Johnstone for her help.
