An Australian woman is appealing for help in tracking her biological father from Midlothian, just weeks after discovering she was adopted.

Karen Calder (54), a sales and marketing executive for a printing company in New South Wales, discovered her real mum was Annie Hastings Myatt who worked as a dairy maid at Maulside Farm Cottages, Gorebridge. Sadly she died in 2006, so now Karen is searching for her real dad after speaking to her blood siblings.

She said: “I have spoken to my step sister Jean Myatt, step brother Dominic Myatt, and other relatives. They have been wonderful but no one has the information that I am desperately seeking.

“I would love to know who my father was, what he looked like and I would like to know where my mannerism’s come from and why I am the way I am.

“I know it will be like looking for a needle in a haystack, but I need to believe that there is a chance .”
