First Minister Alex Salmond told pupils their school was the “best in Scotland” while opening the £36.8 million Lasswade Centre last week.
After an extensive tour of both the school and community facilities Mr Salmond gave a speech before officially opening Lasswade High with a plaque unveiling.
He said: “This is the way of the future and Lasswade is leading the way. The challenge is down to you lot. It’s up to you to actually make Lasswade the best school in Scotland, so good luck.”
