Call to Midlothian writers

Have you got what it takes to be a writer?

If you think you have, then why not enter the Young Writer of the Year competition, run by Midlothian Libraries and the Tyne and Esk Writers group?

There are two age categories, for Primary 4 to Primary 7, and Secondary 1 to 4.

Entries can be prose or poetry, and on any topic you like, so you can let your imagination roam far and wide.

Entry forms and competition rules are available in your local library or at your school.

Closing date is 13 June 2014, and it’s free to enter - so get writing! There will be a special presentation for the winners, with book tokens and a family ticket to the Scottish Seabird Centre to be won.
