Christine Grahame MSP launches her Pentland Hills consultation

A Midlothian MSP is looking to introduce a Private Member’s Bill extending the boundaries of the Pentland Hills Regional Park.

Christine Grahame, the SNP representative for Tweeddale, Ettrick and Lauderdale, has launched a consultation exercise on a proposed Member’s Bill to extend the park boundaries to take in the full Pentland Hills range.

Speaking before the consultation launch at the PHRP consultative meeting, Ms Grahame said: “I believe the time is right to extend the boundaries of the regional park to take in the whole Pentlands range.

“It seems to me eminently sensible to give the whole Pentland Hills range the same kind of protection afforded to the existing regional park.”
