Plans have been approved for a greenhouse to be put up in the community garden at Midlothian Community Hospital.
Managed by the Edinburgh Cyrenians charity, the development is part of the Gardening in All Weathers project that is designed to maximise the number of people who can take part in gardening activities, including hospital patients who are unable to garden outside for long periods of time without shelter.
Funding for the structure has been secured from the LEADER Rural Development Fund, while infrastructure, support services and construction group Robertson has donated the concrete base.
